About Home Farm Day
Nursery |
|
Set within the
beautiful Swanbourne Estate, Home Farm Day Nursery is a small
and homely nursery. There are four separate rooms; Ducklings
(3-12 months), Lambs (12 -21 months), Kittens (21 months - 2 ½ years)
and Foals (2 ½-5 years).
Our aim is to provide the highest quality of care and education
within a calm and secure atmosphere, allowing the children to
flourish. |

Learning Through
Play |
|
At
Home Farm Day Nursery, we use the Birth to Three Matters
Framework and the Foundation Stage Curriculum to
ensure the best possible start to learning.
In each room, activities are planned to help the children’s
progression towards the Early Learning Goals. There is a monthly
theme which helps us to ensure that the children learn about the
world around them, as well as developing their creativity and
early mathematics, language and literacy skills.
Young children learn more when they are having fun, so each
day’s activities are carefully planned to help your child’s
development. Children are able to choose their toys, the pace at
which they play, and whether they play independently, or with
others. |
|
Outside Play Area |
The
outside areas have been designed to maximise the
opportunities for children to play in the fresh air.
The majority of the surfaces are either rubberised or
covered with synthetic grass to enable safe play on
ride-on toys, climbing frames and slides, with plenty of
space to burn off their energy!
There are two large sand pits and a designated area
where children will learn about gardening, plants and
seeds.
The
children will also be able to enjoy trips to the
neighbouring farm, where they can watch and learn about
the animals. |
|
|
Security |
|
The
Nursery gates are locked during the day, and only parents and
permanent members of Nursery Staff can open the main door with a
pin code that is changed regularly. Your child will only be
allowed to leave with people named on the registration form,
unless alternative arrangements are agreed with the Nursery
Staff.
Staff will sign the children in and out of their room register,
with the time of arrival and departure. |
