White Star Memories - Preserving the memory of Titanic and the White Star Line

About White Star Memories

White Star Memories - the brainchild of collector and R.M.S. “Olympic” Historian John White. The company was formed in 1997 and now houses probably the largest privately owned collection of ‘White Star Line’ & “Titanic” material in Europe.

Taking a diverse approach, “White Star Memories” has not only original artefacts and ephemera, but the largest “TITANIC” book collection to be found anywhere and many important film props; in particular, some of the famous costumes worn during the production of the James Cameron 1997 blockbuster “Titanic”.

Beautifully presented in specially designed cabinets, original pieces include a large collection of silverware, china, furniture, clothing and much more, to give a real insight into life during the Victorian & Edwardian period of ocean travel.

The exhibits are superbly complimented by dozens of backing boards, banners, videos and even a mock up of the wreck site as seen through a submersible’s window, all of which help guide the visitor through history, telling a story that has gripped the imagination for over 90 years…

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to provide a professional exhibition service to educate and preserve the memory of the Titanic and the White Star Line for future generations to discover and enjoy. We do this by exhibiting our extensive collection of White Star Line artefacts to both small groups who are interested in booking us, to talk to their members and also large exhibitions which we display ourselves.
We started by exhibiting and talking to small groups such as schools, girl guides, women's institutes, rotary clubs etc.

These presentations are not charged for, instead we ask for a small donation to be sent to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution or the Special Care Baby Unit. Over the years we have grown larger and busier through referrals, recommendations and general word of mouth.

White Star Memories have exhibited all over the country at major events for high profile clients such as Belfast City Council. We were also the leading exhibitor at Europe's largest Titanic exhibition in Dundee, Scotland. We have advised on technical information and have appeared on many national radio and television programs. We offer our clients, reliability, flexibility, and the knowledge that are services are the best.
