The Embankment,
Bedford - About our pub |
The
Embankment is an imposing mock-Tudor landmark building
right in the heart of Bedford. The clue to our location
is in the name! We sit right in the middle of Bedford's
beautifully-landscaped Embankment, with wonderful views
out over the River Great Ouse, the boathouses and all
the hustle and bustle of life on the river.
The Embankment Hotel was built in 1891 and has 20
en-suite bedrooms with free Wi-Fi as well as a spacious
bar & lounge and a dining room overlooking the river. We
are open from breakfast, for coffee, cake & scones
through the morning, serving lunch from noon, with hot
food available all day and through the evening. We are
making new friends in Bedford every day and look forward
to meeting you soon!

Our Food |
|
Headchef Christophe Perney has designed a menu of both snacks
and substantial dishes featuring traditional pub favourites as
well as something a little different. He and his team are in
the kitchen every day preparing the dishes fresh and his roast
of the day and its side-kick, the roast meat roll of the day,
are already proving very popular.
On our menu you will find the very best quality fresh
ingredients - fantastic sausages; only free range chicken;
dry-aged Aberdeenshire steak - sourced from producers who take
pride in their produce and an ethical stance in its production. |
