About The Swan, Salford

Ten minutes from Central Milton Keynes & two minutes from Cranfield, The Swan at Salford is an attractive tile-hung Edwardian pub in a lovely village setting.

Since opening in 2005, The Swan has won a great local reputation, a view endorsed by the British Institute of Innkeepers in 2007 when it voted me Licensee of the Year (out of 8,000 nominations).

The pub is open every day from 11 am, with lunch served from noon & hot food available all day. We take huge pride in serving the best ingredients we can find, from ethical producers, freshly prepared by our team of chefs.

Whether you drop in for a pint of bitter, want to entertain in our private dining room or fancy a lazy weekend barbecue on our sheltered terrace we promise you a friendly welcome. All day long. Andrew Coath, Owner

Food & Drink at The Swan, Salford

Head Chef Neil Simons and his team create menus featuring traditional pub favourites as well as something a little different. They are in the kitchen every day preparing all the dishes fresh on the premises.

On our menu, you will find the very best quality fresh ingredients - fantastic sausages; free range chicken and eggs; simple, pan-fried fish and seafood; 28 day dry-aged Aberdeenshire steak – sourced from producers who take pride in their products and an ethical stance in their production.

Our menus will always make the most of seasonal ingredients, (this ensures we avoid air-freighting and keeps us in touch with the cycle of the year) while combing the best of great British cooking and influences from around the world that are now part of our culture. We are renowned for our deli boards, a good way of sharing some of the best products we source.

We don’t have a children’s menu, because we think they should have the opportunity to eat food that’s as good as yours, but our chefs are happy to make smaller portions or simplified versions of anything on our menu.

On sunny days we have a BBQ on the terrace throughout the week and offer an alfresco menu all day everyday. If you are after a quick bite or a light lunch – just tell us – we’ll happily advise on the best options for you.

Private Room
For Dining For Meeting
Our private room (actually it’s a converted barn) is great for meetings and presentations; wireless internet access, comfy seats, flat screen TV; with the same friendly and welcoming service and a beer when you finish! Call us to discuss your requirements and minimum numbers. There is no room charge for more than 12 of you. We have a rather stunning private room converted from an old barn seating up to 25 for special occasions and getting together. With exposed beams and painted brick walls, the atmosphere is a great asset to your function. Neil Simons will guide you to the ideal menu and we can sort party things for you too.
